Designed specifically for Webelos Den Leaders
and their assistants, this training teaches outdoor
skills through demonstration and hands-on practice.
This training prepares the leader to conduct Webelos
outdoor activities and overnight camping with the
boys and parents of the den. In addition to basic
camping skills, training features campout planning
and finding resources for these activities.
     Usually OWL training includes Safe Swim Defense
training and Certification which is required before
a Webelos Den Leader conducts a swimming activity.
     A Webelos Den Leader is not considered fully
trained unless they are trained in OWL skills.
     Webelos Den Leader Outdoor Training is usually
offered by the council and/or district once each year.
